Heat Mirror is a film covered layer that is stretched inside the insulating double glazing. The result is a three-tier system with two separate chambers (analogy triple) but with a mass double glazing. Unlike other unicameral systems allows this model to place a special coating between external and internal board, where its influence is most effective. This layer causes selective transmission and reflection of electromagnetic radiation of certain wavelengths: it is permeable to visible light while reflecting infrared remote (which carries the heat) radiation and harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation.

Heat Mirror insulating glass reflects radiant heat back to the source. It is out in the summer, when we want that penetrated into the room, and inside in the winter when we heat to remain inside.

Heat Mirror insulating glass and their properties

Heat Mirror insulating glass with visible light transmittance in a wide range 70 to 30% and is closely related to having a near-infrared radiation. The lower penetration of solar radiation, the lower the penetration of visible light. Permeability of UV radiation for all types of film and producers virtually identical throughput guarantees less than 1%. Usually, however, the UV radiation of film almost immeasurable, and near zero. Standard double glazing (20%) and triple (8%) do not provide protection from UV rays causing fading of colors in the interior. A very important feature is the throughput in the IR spectrum, as it decides on the thermal insulating properties of the product. This property is very difficult to characterize a single value, because the throughput is a function of wavelength and for all Heat Mirror films with increasing wavelength decreases. When radiation heat transfer is a decisive factor in the temperature of the issuing body radiation. While the near IR region of the spectrum (solar radiation) is a film heat mirror more permeable (greater proportion of radiation passes) for the IR remote (radiation at a temperature close to body temperature in buildings), the foil is impermeable.

Measurement of service CSI Zlín showed that the method of solving the edge of insulating glass with Inter-glass sheet is at least the same parameters as the hot plastic and composite frames. Inter-glass with double glazing insulating foil HEAT MIRROR provide increased noise attenuation of 2 db compared to classical double glazing.
